Public-Private Partnership

Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), or Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project schemes are generally medium or long term agreements, between government and private sector entities, where a part of the services or work required by public sector and municipal development becomes the responsibility of the private sector. The co-location of renewable energy from solar with the production of water from desalination is a rising application of technologies that offers both improved economic viability and a reduced environmental footprint. Almar Water Solutions is leveraging synergies with Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (www.frv.com) studying the development of combined water and solar photovoltaic energy projects where geographical conditions make this a viable proposition.
